Varios medios titularon hoy con la noticia de la baja del Riesgo País por debajo de los 1700 puntos, el valor más bajo en dos años. Esa presunta buena noticia, que tiene que ver con la posibilidad de ingresos de Inversiones Extranjeras Directas (IED) a la Argentina requiere de un análisis que vaya más allá de un número arbitrario sin contexto.
La primera cuestión es saber para qué proyecto de país se necesitan las inversiones. Tener IED para la explotación irracional de recursos naturales sin una estrategia planificada de desarrollo y distribución equitativa de la riqueza generada no cambiaría la situación actual de la comunidad e incluso puede empeorarla en las regiones afectadas. La otra es conocer la información completa sobre el índice del Riesgo País. Los 1700 puntos actuales están muy lejos de atraer capitales. En marzo de 2018, durante el gobierno de Mauricio Macri, ese indicador estaba en 420 puntos y, a pesar de las políticas neoliberales impuestas, los capitales no aparecieron. Todos los organismos internacionales de crédito han anticipado que este año las inversiones se concentrarán en mercados del mundo desarrollado, que consideran seguros. Por más simpatía que genere Javier Milei entre los supermillonarios, el capitalismo no arriesga nunca sus beneficios.
